...more than just injection moulding!
1919
After 1919, the year in which today's company was founded, up to 250 employees produced buttons, zips and jewellery.
1953
The company, which was run as a small metal production plant, was privately owned until 1953. It was then transferred to public ownership as part of the nationalisation policy of the time.
1962
The year 1962 marks a fundamental change in the product range. The focus was now on the production of plastic parts from thermoplastics using the injection moulding process. The production range included technical parts for mechanical engineering and the electrical industry as well as caps for bottles and tubes. The injection moulds required for this were largely produced by the company's own mould construction department.
Since 1990
By 1990, a range of over 250 plastic articles had been produced on 45 injection moulding machines. BERGI-PLAST GmbH supplied these to customers in a wide range of industries.
Following successful privatisation in 1991, BERGI-PLAST GmbH achieved steady growth in turnover and employee numbers.
1998 and 2006
In 1998, a new production hall and eight years later a new warehouse were built on the BERGI-PLAST site in order to accommodate further growth and constant demand.
BERGI-PLAST GmbH's many years of experience and high level of expertise in the fields of plastics technology and toolmaking form the basis of its current market range. It comprises the development of articles and tools (injection moulds) for processing thermoplastics as well as the manufacture and sale of injection moulded parts.
2012
The year 2012 marks another highlight in the history of BERGI-PLAST GmbH. A new plant is opened near Berggiesshübel. Plant II in Dohma specialises in the production of technical parts and the implementation of the LEAN concept. The focus here is on lean production and resource conservation.
